Job Description

To work with the School Leaders, Singapore (Cambodia) International Academy Co., Ltd. (SCIA), a Cambodia registered subsidiary of SIM International Pte. Ltd., the TA support (ECED), is responsible for the following areas:

The Teaching Assistant Support, Early Childhood Education Division is reporting to Senior Executives (School Operations – Early Childhood) and is responsible for:

  • Assisting Teachers in managing the students inside and outside the classroom.
  • Preparing classroom and materials to standards set by Teachers.
  • Keeping classroom clean, organised and tidy.
  • Supervising students outside of class time, during lunch, nap time playground time, arrival, and dismissal. Students are never to be left unattended.
  • Monitoring students’ well-being and motivating them to achieve their goals.
  • Working with TAs and Teachers inside the classroom to ensure efficient day to day running of the Pre-school.
  • Providing appropriate intimate care (nappy changing, showering) when needed, in accordance with Child Protection Policy
  • Attend training to enhance professional development.
  • Assist in After-school care programme.
  • Assists and helps in events when deployed.
  • Assisting Teachers and Teaching Assistants with childcare responsibilities adhering to the hygiene standards set by the school.
  • Assist with classroom decoration, with guidance from Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
  • Attend to students in the bathroom when necessary.
  • Helps in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
  • Setting up and tidying up nap room, assisting with laundry coordination.
  • Assist in making sure the laundry is done every week.
  • Nanny duties in the bathroom will still be done when the need arises. (Be flexible)
  • Performing other functions as necessary or assigned by Heads of Division.
  • Assisting Head of Division in any projects or tasks in relation to company goals and objectives.
  • Participating in all School-wide events.

Job Requirement

  1. Academic Education / Training / Experience
  • Completed High School education.
  • Average communication skills. (Average level of spoken English and comprehension)
  • Experience in working with young children.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in Early Years education institutions.
